Bruce Springsteen

Bruce Springsteen's Born in the U.S.A. was released on the 4th of June in 1984 and it became one of his defining albums. The album was met with positive reviews and massive commercial success. It produced seven top-10 hit singles and was promoted with a worldwide concert by Springsteen. It became one of the highest-selling records ever, having sold 30 million copies by 2012. 

'Dancing In the Dark' is the 11th track on the album and was the last to be recorded. It was written overnight after record producer, Jon Landau, convinced Bruce that the album needed a single. According to Dave Marsh, Springsteen was not impressed, saying "Look", he snarled, "I've written seventy songs. You want another one, you write it." Springsteen came in the next day with the entire song written:
